100 % natural skincare

WeeCare Lanolin Ointment is 100 % natural skincare. That is to say no substances have been added that are not already found in nature. The 4 natural ingredients that the ointment consists of are: lanolin, coconut oil, olive oil and beeswax. In other words, there is absolutely nothing else in the product!

So, the ointment is absolutely FREE from:

• Other preservatives
• Hormone disrupting drugs
• Other synthetic chemistry

Preservatives in skin care products

Why is it good that a skin care product does not contain preservatives, you might ask. The thing is that several preservatives used in skin care products have been shown to be endocrine disruptors, while others have been shown to be allergenic.

Preservatives are used in many different foods and cosmetic products to make the product last for a long time. The vast majority of them are harmless to most of us — at least of what we know. But time is changing and new things are discovered all the time. Take parabens as an example. It has been discovered that some of them are endocrine disruptors and therefore they have been banned from being used in skin care products for children. But unfortunately they were used in many products before this discovery…

White creams contains preservatives

Common white creams always contain preservatives because they also contain water. When a skin care product contains water along with other ingredients there is a risk of developing bacteria and therefore it is necessary to preserve the product so that it can last longer than a few days in the refrigerator. (It is not always parabens that are used as preservatives, there are many different kinds of preservatives.)
So, you can be quite certain that all the skin care products you can buy contain water also contain preservatives. In the ingredient list of the individual products, the content of water will be written with the INCI description “AQUA”.

WeeCare Lanolin Ointment does not contain water or anything that make preservatives necessary! But the product can still last for 12 months after opening. Yes, as we said, it is high-quality 🙂
