Breastfeeding nipples

During the first days with a newborn baby, breastfeeding is being established. Breastfeeding is super important to the small child’s health and overall well-being and of course for creating a connection between mother and child.

The establishment of breastfeeding is, however, not always easy and challenges may arise. The nipples can become sore and they may get damaged and develop wounds, which can really hurt when the baby is nursing! Therefore you will be happy to have our WeeCare Lanolin Ointment at your fingertips in the first time after giving birth. The ointment is especially good to use when breastfeeding and especially if you have developed nipple wounds.

The ointment keeps the skin moistured so that no scabs are formed (which hurts a lot when the baby is eating because the scab is torn off the skin and the healing process thus begins again…). So if the skin is kept moist no scab is formed and thereby can the skin heal completely. Naturally, then, it will also hurt less when the baby is breastfed again next time. In addition to all these good things, WeeCare Lanolin Ointment also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial capabilities which helps to prevent inflammatory conditions so that no infection occurs in the wound.

Apply a thick layer of ointment directly to the nipple after breastfeeding. But remember to allow the skin to air dry before you apply the ointment. Also, using nursing pads that are gentle to the skin is a good idea, for example WeeCare Nursing Pads which has really soft bamboo towards the skin.

Another good thing is: You do not need to remove WeeCare Lanolin Ointment from the nipples before breastfeeding — the ointment is 100 % natural and contains no synthetic chemistry nor any harmful substances.
